Cleaning had never been a pleasant chore for anyone, at least most of the time. Even if you get professional help from cleaning companies you have to keep an eye of the house so things don’t get out of control. Here are a few tips from our professional cleaners to help you in deep cleaning.
Make your fridge shiny again: It’s great to have stainless steel appliances but nobody warns you about fingerprints before you buy it. Those prints are inevitable and can be very annoying. Luckily this trick will prevent those prints. Drop a few drops of olive oil or baby oil on a paper towel. Wipe the fridge with the paper towel and use a clean paper towel to wipe off excess oil. This will keep your fridge fingerprint-free for a longer time.
Deal with stubborn grease stains: You might want to keep white chalk handy after you hear this trick. Rub white chalk on grease stains. White chalk will absorb the oil. Let it sit half an hour then wash the cloth. This will work for almost any kind of oil. If you don’t have white chalk in your home you can try cornstarch or talcum powder the same way.
Let your windows shine: You can easily make your own DIY window cleaning solution. 1 tsp of cornstarch to 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of water, mix them in a spray bottle. Shake well before every use. Your windows will be crystal clear again.
Get rid of water spots: Hard water causes mineral deposits on faucets and fixtures. Dampen a microfiber cloth with white vinegar and place over deposits. After 15 minutes wipe it away. Vinegar breaks down the deposits. You can use the same trick to make your showerhead shiny again. Fill a zipper bag with vinegar, tie it around the showerhead. Leave it overnight and run the shower in the morning.
Clean your glass shower doors: You can easily clean water spots and soap scum with Brillo pad. Wet it and apply it gently. It will take the water spots away without scratching the glass. If you apply glass treatment every three months water you can avoid water spots.
Whiten the toilet bowl: For this one you can you can use a pumice stone. If it requires deep cleaning sprinkle 1 cup of baking soda in the bowl, let it sit for 5 minutes. Brush the bowl and follow that with a pumice stone. Make sure you wet the stone before using it. Dry stone can cause scratches.
Keep your toilet brush fresh: Pour a small amount of your favourite scented cleaning product in the bottom of the toilet brush holder. After using your toilet brush instead of putting it right back in its holder, close the toilet seat on the top of the toilet bowl brush handle so it can dry into the bowl.
