White bread as glass magnet: After picking up the big pieces of shattered glass use a white bread slice to remove the little remains. Small pieces will cling to the bread.
Salt as drain cleaner: Before using chemical products, try using salt to unclog the drain. Pour a solution of 1/2 cup of salt for every quart of hot water down the pipe.
Baby oil as paint remover: Baby oil is not just for babies. You can use baby oil to remove paint splash from your skin.
Colander as toy scoop: Colander might be a very popular as a kitchen tool but its ability is not limited by the kitchen. If your little one refuses to have a bath without his/her toys draining the tub after the bath can be challenging. Use a colander to scoop all the toys before draining the tub.
Chalk as tarnish prevention: You can slow down the tarnish on your good silverware by tying a few pieces of chalk to them. Use a cloth to put them together. Chalk will absorb the moisture and slow down the tarnish.

Tape as keyboard cleaner: Slide the tape between the rows of your keyboard. The adhesive side will pick up dust and crumbs.
Oil as adhesive remover: Apply oil to the sticker using a paper towel. Rub it then rinse it with warm soapy water.
Sugar as hand degreaser: Rub your greasy hands with a mixture of sugar and water.
Mustard powder as jar deodoriser: Sometimes no matter what you do the smell sticks in the jar. To get rid of it, wash the jar with a mixture of one teaspoon of powdered mustard with one quart warm water.
Cornmeal as grease absorber: Cornmeal can absorb grease on light coloured fabric. Cover the stain with cornmeal and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Vacuum it to clean the grains.
