Smells Like Holiday

When all the senses mix it’s officially Christmas time. To boost your sense of smell we have the most amazing and easy ideas. Let’s celebrate Christmas with all our of senses.

Cinnamon Vanilla Candles

We start with the easiest one. All you need are vanilla candles, cinnamon sticks, rubber band, twin and ribbon or bells depends on your taste. Place a rubber band around the candle, slide cinnamon sticks behind the rubber band. To finish use the twine, ribbon and/or bells. As the vanilla candles warm up your place will be filled with vanilla and cinnamon scent.

Vanilla Coffee Candles

We can’t make the coffee smell stay forever in your house but we can give you a tip to make it last longer. Simply put glue on vanilla candles and roll in coffee beans. When candles warm up they will heat the coffee beans. Sniff sniff..

Mulled Apple Cider

This recipe will warm you up and bring a festive smell into your house. Once you prepare it you can cool it down, bottle and refrigerate until you need it. For this recipe you need 1 orange, 1 lemon, 10 apples, 1 tbp ground cinnamon, 1 small piece ginger (peeled and sliced), 1 tsp all spice, 12 cloves, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 3/4 cup brown sugar. Peel the zest off the orange and lemon. Cut the white pith off. We are not going to use it as it is very bitter. Cut the apples into quarters. Place all the ingredients plus orange and lemon peels into a slow-cooker pot. Pour in cold water to cover everything. Turn the slow cooker high, place the lid on and cook for 3 hours. After 3 hours use a potato masher to mash the fruit and cook for another 30-60 minutes. Strain the liquid and you are ready!
