5 Tricks For Your Bathroom

5 Tricks For Your Bathroom

The objects you use everyday in your bathroom need your attention more than you think. Not just because of health issues but also to make them last longer. If you feel overwhelmed with the idea, follow our instructions and start with the easiest one for you.

1.Curling Iron: Most of us use it each day to make lovely curls. Every usage leaves traces behind; hair spray, styling gel and lots of unidentified compound. The best way to fight against these and give your curling iron a long life is to prevent these. There are two easy ways to this.

Give your curling iron a long life by preventing stains.

After every usage wait for it to cool down, unplug it and use alcohol wipe or a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol to clean the barrel of your curling iron. If you haven’t followed this rule and it is overly dirty then you can use a magic paste made with baking soda and water. The paste should be thick but not spreadable. Once your curling iron has cooled down rub the barrel with this paste. If it is clean enough, wipe down the paste with the help of a damp cloth.

The last thing you can try before throwing your curling iron away is oven cleaner. Wrap the cord and plastic handle in a cloth to protect it corrosion. Spray the curling iron with the oven cleaner and let it sit for 15-20 mins. Wipe off it with a damp cloth. If none of the above worked then maybe it’ s time to say goodbye to your curling iron.

2.Cosmetic items: We use them everyday sometimes more than once. It’s better to give them a wash to get rid of germs and dirt. Gather everything you use to make yourself pretty; make up brushes, tweezers, facial brushes, hairbrushes, nail clippers and add them to your dishwasher. Use a short program and wash only these. Otherwise things might get dirty.

You can wash your cosmetic items in dishwasher.

3.Towels: You should take good care of your towels for the sake of your skin. And lucky you we know an easy way to refresh them. You will need 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup epsom salt. Pour vinegar into your washing machine, load it with towels. Set your machine to soak and let the cycle run. Now sprinkle baking soda and epsom salt over the towels. Let the towels run through the cycle again. Finish by washing with your favourite detergent. Vinegar breaks down the mildew and mold, baking soda neutralises smells while epsom salts naturally soften water and fabrics.

To refresh your towels all you need is baking soda, vinegar and epsom salt.

4.Faucet: What if we tell you that there is a natural way to make your faucet shine? Of course we are talking about baking soda and vinegar. 🙂 Located just under the lip of your faucet is a screen keeping any bits from coming out with the water. Grab an old toothbrush, rinse it with water then dip into baking soda. Gently scrub the screen. To get rid of any buildup, take a measuring cup and fill it with vinegar, soak the screen. Now you can use the toothbrush and a bit of baking soda to brush around the base of faucet and the handles. Pour vinegar over the faucet and wipe clean with a damp cloth.

You can make your faucet shine with natural ingredients.

5.Shower head: There is a super easy way to clean your shower head. Turn on water just for a few seconds. Place around 1 cup of baking soda in a shallow dish and press it into the shower head. Loop a rubber band around it. Fill a plastic baggie with one half cup with white vinegar. Place it over the shower head and secure with the rubberband. Leave it for 15-20 minutes. Remove the bag and wipe the shower head clean.

Clean your shower head within 20 minutes with eco friendly ingredients.

Remember, there is always an eco-friendly way to do it. Just don’t wait for cleaning until it’s too late. If your bathroom needs a really good deep cleaning, you can leave it to the professionals. Justmop team is here to help. Just book a maid now!
