8 Natural DIY Cleaning Products

Have you missed our non-toxic DIY cleaning products suggestions? We thought you did so we prepared a list of 8 DIY products completely natural and easy to make. As for all homemade natural cleaning products you will need baking soda and white vinegar as the main ingredients. They are cheap, the best stain removers and disinfectants.

All purpose cleaner: You can use this recipe for cleaning windows, countertops and the bathroom. Grab a 500ml glass spray bottle and mix the following ingredients: 1 cup white vinegar, 1 cup water, 3 drops tea tree essential oil, and 3 drops lemon essential oil. Shake well before each use because the ingredients will settle and separate. Spray the solution to the areas needed and use a cloth to wipe.

Shower and tub cleaner: This solution will help you to kill germs and fight mold in bathroom. You will need a 500ml glass spray bottle again. Combine 1 cup white vinegar, 1 cup water, 3-5 drops lemon essential oil and shake well. Spray throughout your tub and/or shower then wash with water. Don’t forget to shake well before every use.

Glass cleaner: You can easily remove water stains on the glass and windows with this solution. Mix 1 cup white vinegar with 1 cup water in a 500ml glass spray bottle. Use it on the area needed and let it sit for 30 seconds before wiping away with a cloth.

Toilet bowl cleaner: Combine 1/4 cup liquid castile soap, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1 cup warm water, 1/4 cup vinegar and 10 drops tea tree essential oil in a large bowl, stir thoroughly. With the help of a funnel pour the solution into a squeeze bottle. To clean the toilet, squeeze the solution around the rim of your toilet and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then scrub and flush.

Air freshener: Instead of breathing chemical try this air freshener. Mix 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 5-6 drops grapefruit essential oil or which ever essential oil you like in a 500ml glass spray bottle. Shake well and freshen up the room.

Drain cleaner: You don’t need commercial products to clean the drains in your house. Combine 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup salt and 1/4 cream tartar in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture down the drain and pour 2 cups of boiling water. After letting it sit for an hour rinse it with cold water.

Oven cleaner: Mix 1/4 cup castile soap, 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup salt and warm water. Stir until it makes a paste. Apply to the interior of the oven and let it sit overnight. Remove it with a sponge and warm water. Finish it with white vinegar.

Disinfectant wipes: Imagine that you can use wipes over and over again! Grab your old t-shirts and make 20 squares of them. Place them into empty container. Combine 1 cup water, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 8 drops eucalyptus, 8 drops tea tree and 8 drops lemon essential oil in a small bowl. Pour the mixture onto the cloths, let them soak it, then use them as needed. When finished toss them in the washing machine and repeat the steps.
